Elemensional Rift update v.0.6.02b


Update for version 0.6.2 is now live!

As the team has just came back from FWA, a lot of comments and tweaks have been noted and added in.  With another large convention around the corner, the hope is to squeeze in enough for a preview before the next convention as well.  Let's dive on into the updates for this newer version:

General Gameplay updates:

  • CPU players could create a bug when deciding how important an item's value is to them at the moment.  This bug has been fixed.
  • CPU players interact with items more frequently (instead of the previous rarely using them ever)
  • Drake's Vortex and Boss Drake's Vortex created issues when paused while the vortex is out.  These issues have been fixed.
  • Drake's Miasma created some issues with bad timing while pausing.  These issues have been fixed.
  • The roof of the lead caravan of the stage Nekuen's Caravan (both battlefield and arena versions) has been updated to have a semi-transparent visibility.  This allows for smaller characters, such as Neon, and lower attacks, such as Selphieroth's Janken, to be more visible.
  • The spawn positions on the top of the towers on the Battlefield version of Miroi's Castle led to characters losing a life as soon as the battle begins.  They have been removed.
  • Hina using her dash ability over the alchemic combination Mercury in the battlefield version of Drake's Temple created a bug.  This has been fixed.
  • Pausing while the Bee Bombs from the Beezooka item resulted in the Bee Bombs exploding after escaping the pause status.  This bug has been fixed.
  • Pausing while Miroi performs the Holy Wings attack during the early or late portions of the attack results in a bug.  This bug has been fixed.
  • Crispy B.'s Bunny Goes Boom would explode when moving over items that have not yet been activated.  This bug has been fixed.
  • Pausing while one of Selphieroth's shikigami is in the process of returning to its owner resulted in a bug.  This bug has been fixed.
  • Mr. Bishounen's Bishounen Taunt now resets the energy breather status on all victims when the taunt is completed.   This slows down energy recover of idle fighters, instead of immediately filling right back up.
  • The length of time the burn status from Mr. Bishounen's Bishounen Taunt has been increased.

Single player related updates:

  • Going through the arcade and reaching bonus challenge while using player 3 or 4 results in getting locked up before the battle with the secret opponent begins.  This bug has been fixed.
  • The final battle of the arcade mode felt unusually easy.  Data has been updated to give a more proper challenge.
  • Glyphs during the various subscenes of the arcade mode defaulted to displaying player 1's keys instead of the active player.  This bug has been fixed.
  • Neon's midboss opponent was assigned to face Drake.  This has been updated to a more appropriate target until the true target is available.
  • Crispy B.'s dialogue for the arcade mode cutscenes have been updated.

General updates:

  • The color change rate of the question marks on the pillar bars during freeplay character selection has been slowed down to not be the strobing effect it was beforehand.
  • Pressing the palette shift button during the freeplay character selection screen when the player does not have a character selected created an error.  This bug has now been fixed.
